PRC is very excited to announce Tom Oliver as our new PRC Ambassador in Cambodia.

Most of you would know Tom as the actor who played fan favourite Lou Carpenter on the Australian TV series Neighbours.

However what you may not know is the charitable work Tom does in South East Asia. He is the Ambassador of the elephant nature park in Thailand and Connecting Hands.

Elephant Nature Park in Thailand is an organisation that provides rescue and sanctuary to Elephants.

Connecting hands is an amazing organisation for women and children in Cambodia. They work to eradicate enslavement in the sex industry by offering young women who have escaped lives of enslavement and abuse with the opportunity to start a new life free from such vulnerabilities. Their training model assists young women by empowering them with training opportunities with great working conditions, higher salaries than average, English classes, medical treatment, accommodation & ongoing practical support to equip them to change their lives.

Tom met with one of our operatives in Cambodia and immediately identified the synergy between Connecting Hands and PRC. We look forward to partnering with this organisation that will assist with the after care of victims of child trafficking and sex exploitation.

Tom Oliver has released the following statement about his appointment and an Ambassador to PRC Cambodia.

"When asked 'what is the most important heritage you can think of' some people reply that it is oil, coal, water, forests - but to me the true heritage for all of us is children! With children bring our heritage we must protect them in every single way! That is why I am proud to be associated with PRC particularly here in South East Asia, where in Cambodia over 30,000 young women and girls are trafficked annually. Connecting Hands Australia looks forward to a close relationship with Project Rescue Children and the wonderful work they do".
